Andhra Pradesh to bring gaurs from central India to feed Nallamala’s tigers
Gaurs have all but disappeared from the reserve and the Nallamala hills; Principal Chief Conservator of Forests P.V. Chalapathi Rao said the translocation would expand the prey base and improve genetic diversity, and that two tigresses each would be brought from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh
