India's passenger vehicle sales saw robust growth in July. Leading manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai reported record monthly dispatches. Automakers benefited from favorable economic conditions throughout the month.

Maruti clocks record monthly production

New Delhi: The country's largest automaker Maruti Suzuki India has reported its highest-ever monthly production at 2,48,845 units in July, a jump of 33 per cent, over the same month last year. The auto major had produced 1,87,073 units in July 2025, as per a regulatory filing by the company. The company's best monthly production performance till now was in March 2026 when it rolled out 2,31,933 units from its factories. Sales grew at an estimated 34% year-on-year to 469,162 vehicles in July.Executives at Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor India and Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) said during post-earni

Automakers dropped prices to pass on the lower GST rates, triggering a sales surge. Also Read: Alternative fuels now within striking distance of petrol in pa
