Filmmaker Shakeel Noorani held for rape, blackmail of aspiring actress
After evading capture for forty days, producer-director Shakeel Noorani has been arrested. He is charged with multiple counts of rape and intimidation against an aspiring actress, with incidents reportedly occurring over a four-year period at his home. The police deployed technical resources to track him down to a farmhouse in Mahabaleshwar. Following his arrest, he was presented in court and remanded in custody.
