India condemned Pakistan's admission of training and arming militants who have turned against the state. The Ministry of External Affairs also criticized Pakistan's harsh crackdown on protesters in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Over forty civilians were reportedly killed during the violent suppression of peaceful demonstrations. India stated that Pakistan's actions exposed its disdain for the region's innocent inhabitants.

International oversight bodies are sounding the alarm over growing violence and restrictions on media freedom during elections. Amnesty International has documented harsh actions against protesters in PoK's Rawalakot, and the Committee to Protect Journalists has identified worsening conditions for reporters. Alarmingly, two independent journalists are reportedly missing after being abducted from their office, with the protest movement accounting for more than eighty fatalities.

In a strong statement, the Ministry of External Affairs demanded action against cross-border terrorism, directly targeting groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba following claims about Indian agencies taking down their commanders. They lambasted the local elections in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir as illegitimate, citing repression of civilians by Pakistani forces. Moreover, India urged the global community to address Pakistan's actions firmly.
